Beyond the Sale: Local Impact Initiatives
For every house we sell, we proudly donate to two important charities: the Black Dog Institute, a national organisation dedicated to mental health support, or Pop In, a local charity focused on domestic violence prevention and assistance. We are committed to making a positive impact in our community, and we firmly believe that supporting these two vital causes plays a crucial role in addressing and alleviating some of the most pressing challenges faced by individuals and families in need. By contributing to these organisations, we aim to foster a stronger, healthier, and more resilient community for everyone.
Black Dog Institute
1 in 5 of us will experience symptoms of mental illness in any given year. In Australia that’s around 5 million people. And roughly 60% of these people won’t seek help.
As the only medical research institute in Australia to investigate mental health across the lifespan, our aim is to create a mentally healthier world for everyone. We do this through ‘translational’ research. Integrating our research studies, education programs, digital tools and apps, clinical services, and public resources to discover new solutions, foster connections and create real-world change.
Our partnerships with people with lived experience, federal, state and local governments, communities, schools, corporate Australia and others in the mental health sector enables us to drive evidence-informed change in mental health where it’s needed most.
Pop In
If you and your children live in fear of Domestic Violence and Abuse, Pop In is a friendly place that can support you but never judge you.
Pop In is a hub for women and children threatened or impacted by Domestic Violence and Abuse in the Wingecarribee Shire. Their services are provided from a renovated house in Moss Vale, where their small professional team is supported by invaluable and committed volunteers.
Pop In sets itself apart with its commitment to be a best-practice operation supporting women and children for as long as they need.
